As the first lab and institution from China, we have officially joined the Agroecology Coalition. Members of the coalition include over 50 countries and 100 organizations, including farmers' and research organizations, indigenous peoples' organizations and United Nations bodies bedsides others.
The purpose of the Coalition is to accelerate the transformation of food systems through agroecology as per the High Level Panel of Experts (HLPE) of the Committee on World Food Security.
The Coalition will specifically support the implementation of country pathways for food system transformation through agroecology through:
a) Co-creation and exchange of knowledge
b) Seeking increased investments in agroecology, and
c) Seeking political engagement and commitment to the agroecological transformation
We are very excited to be part of the Research and Innovation Working Group.
